For me they were all different. One asked me when I was going to get rid of it. One didnt believe us at first but was then supportive. And the one that was happy for us got possesive and kinda wierd about me and the baby so we are no longer friends. I am only friends with 1 person that I was friends with pre-pregnancy. She was the one that introduced Jeramie and I. She is now Ty's godmother. We dont get to see her alot but that is because she is almost 5 hours away.

Really well, actually - from the age of 15 onwards I've had a habit of "taking in" and caring for friends whose parents were abusive or neglectful towards them. I've always had a really strong maternal instinct towards the people I love. Most of my friends were excited that I actually get to mother my own child, and not someone elses, and have been wonderful support for me telling me I will make a great mother It's very reassuring.

I was the first one of all my friends to get pregnant, to get married, to have a house, etc. When I did tell them I was pregnant, for the most part they were all really supportive. One did ask me if I was going to keep it, but I didn't take too much offense to it. My friends don't live close to me any more, so when they do come and visit, they think I'm playing house or something, they really don't get it yet.

This time around most of my friends are the same boat. They are mostly on their 1st children or are recently married or just bought a house. As you can guess, I don't get to see them that often even though they live relatively close. I still talk to my single friends but only get to hang out with them a few times per year, and not usually when I'm preggo. All have always been supportive tho.

Well, I'm still not sure what's going on with my body, but I told my roommate that I thought I could be. She told me that I had until Monday and she was kicking me out... I don't think she was serious, but you never know.

with this one they all pretty much laughed...they were all like AGAIN. with my first i think they were all a little freaked out. it took my best friend some time to get used to the idea that i had responsibities and we had a falling out over it for a couple of years. she does not have any kids now but she's still comes around and she was the first person to know (and laugh) about this baby. most of my friends are married and have kids so it's no big deal

All of my friends are really excited. Most of them have kids or want them. I just found out that my best friend who is more like my sister is pregnant also. She is 9 weeks pregnant so we get to be pregnant together! My first cousin and friend from college also have the exact same due date as me. My DH said it must be something in the water.

I was so upset that I was just bawling, I called my friend and she started laughing and telling me how happy she was for me... it ticked me off at the time, lol, but now I am really glad that she was so supportive.

Well I have only told a few close friends as I am just past nine weeks. My SO and I haven't told everyone, but the friends I have told are very supportive and have helped me see the positive sides once I decided that I was keeping the baby.

Let's see...I took the test at the store (cause I"m here all the freaking time anyhow!) and the results didn't come up. Only I could screw up a pee stick! So I threw it out.

That night I told my dh I was feeling a bit weird and told him I took it but it was all off and he said "You're not pregnant".

We had a HUGE ice storm that night and my son ended up coming to the store with me the next day and I took another test, it came up positive immediately!! I came running out of the back room and flew by my son who yelled "Are you ok?? Are you sick!?"
I run up front and stood there shaking and grabbed my son by the shoulders and said "Mommy's going to have a BABY!" and he said "Right now?!"

I called my good friend in Michigan and told her....she laughed and said "Wait.. I thought you were suppose to have sex to get pregnant." Baahaha

My balloon friend was shocked and but was happy.
I actually had one friend say "Are you happy about it?" Which I thought was weird at the time because she's on a close friend and it was ...just weird.

Most responses have been shock and awe. "WHAT??! WHY?!? What about the store?"

I told my mom by asking her when her and dad go garage saling this summer, they'll have to be on the look out for some baby things because we saved very little from Alex when he was a baby." She just said into the phone "OH GAYLE!"

And we told my inlaws by Alex saying "I'm going to be a big brother" which confused Nana because she thought "Big Brother and Big Sisters" not as in we were having another baby.
You could almost see a light bulb go off and she shot a look at me and I said "I'm pregnant."
She jumped up and hugged me, but didn't hug my dh ...her son! LOL
