hiii ladies, im in a bit of a pickle! i just found out i was 4 weeks pregnant (sooo excited) but im starting a new job on monday!!! i have no idea when to tell my employer, its so hard to find a job in the city right now and its a pretty decent one too, im just so scared to tell them sooner because of being "let go" before my probationary period is over , should i wait till after my probation? or is that too late...im so worried to lose this job! anyone been in this kind of situation or have any advice, anything would be appreciated

well from what I know - they shouldn't be able to let you go because you're pregnant! So try not to worry about that. It seems pretty common to tell an employer about a pregnancy between 12-20 weeks, but it's really up to you. I am sure that the earlier you told them, the easier it would be, as they'd be able to work out who will cover your maternity leave etc..... Ummm! I'm in New Zealand, so I'm not too sure about the laws etc over there
