Let me start out by introducing myself... I'm Kimberly and I am a member of the July 2012 DDC:

I am posting this here, as this is about the only place I can think of to post this question (I have already gotten some opinions from my DDC, just I guess wanted a few more & maybe see if anyone has possibly been in this situation before). I just had a C-Section June 27, 2012. I want to have at least 3 kids (this was our first) and since I'm almost 31, I feel like I don't have a whole lot of time to wait a year or 2 between each. That being said, I have this strange suspicion that I may be pregnant already. DF & I waited just over 3 weeks before DTD and I totally forgot, but I believe about a week and a half before that I had bleeding, much like my menstrual cycle, I thought I had started twice in the last week, only to find it was just minor spotting. I am now having a super thick, clear or slightly pink tinged discharge for the last 2 days... I want another baby, but we really weren't planning on having one THIS soon, and I'm almost scared to test... anyone have any input???
So in love with our Princess Kira Jean!!!

Are you nursing? Nursing anything up to about 60 days PP is still considered lochia. I wouldnt really be to concerned but take a test to ease your mind.

I'm pumping, but my production went WAAAAY down about a week before all this happened too. I plan to test, just kinda freaked out about it. On one hand I want another baby, however I know the responsible thing to do is wait at least a little while... Sooo torn

I have heard that you are super likely to get pregnant within the weeks immediately following birth, but I can't remember the exact timeframe. I wish I could remember where I saw this info....

I think it was something like you should use protection if you have sex within 2 months of giving birth or you have a high chance of getting pregnant again. I'll try to find where I saw this and edit my post if I do But I'd definitely test! Especially if your milk production went down...that sounds a little fishy!

A close friend of mine had her first and she was pregnant with the second when she went in for her PP check up. So it does happen. As far as the whole "wait time frame" from a c-section I've heard so many different things (6 months, 1 year, and 2 years)and it seems to vary from Dr to Dr. The only way you can be sure is to test and/or see your Dr. KUP on what happens and good luck!
