Nothing is going on down there yet

He hasn't dropped at all and my cervix is still thick and closed.

I was hoping to here that I was dilated at least one centimetre, but we'll check again in two weeks. Hopefully it will start by then.

BTDT mommies, when did you start to dilate?

With my son I didn't dilate at 36 weeks, and it was at a 4. I stayed at a 4 for 3 weeks till me dr striped my membrains. With my daughter I was a 4 cm at 36 weeks and the dr striped my membrains. If this is your first child it could be about another week or two before you start to dilate. It also helps you dilate more if your little one is moving down. But try walking around alot. The natural swaying of your hips when you walk will help the baby come down.

Whoa whoa whoa.....you start to dilate BEFORE you go in labour?? I thought that was after. Guess I need to research more on labour.
