I just learned that I am pregnant, by a home test. My first doctor appointment is tomorrow. I came home from work, peed and saw a bit of blood. Like mestrual looking. I don't know what to do!?! Should I go out and get another test kit, should I wait for the doctor? What if I'm having a miscarriage? WHAT SHOULD I DO?????!

FIRST OFF>>> RELAXXX!! Stress is not good for these situations.. I would say put your feet up and wait for the docs tomorrow. It doesnt matter if you test right now because ...GOD FORBID.. you were having a miscarriage it would still stay positve for a few days. Spotting can be common in preganncy so just try to stay calm until tomorrow. I will keep you in my T&Ps hun!

Thanks to Heather aka Mom2*Lauryn*Jacob* for my awesome siggy!!!

I'm not sure if this will help, because it's impossible to know if you have the same thing, but I bled between 5 and 6 weeks with DD. The cause was formally indetermined, although after a ultrasound the Dr thought I might have a bit of a placenta tear. He seemed unconcerned. My midwife did have me do several blood tests to keep an eye on my hormone levels and gave me a few hormone injections and pills. I think that was to discourage a miscarriage in case it was being "offered". Except for some bleeding at 15 weeks (with another ultrasound that also seemed to point to the same thing) I had a great pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby girl. I didn't do anything for the 15 week bleeding.

I think if you start cramping quite a bit though, you should go in to the ER. It's great you already have an appt tomorrow! KUP!

Thanks for helping me calm down last night! Although I still made myself nauseous worrying a bit. Everything went well today. The doc thinks Im about 8 weeks along. I'll be having my first ultrasound on the 26th. She reminded me that when the placenta is planting, it could cause some spotty bleeding. So major WHEW! This pregnancy was unplanned but we are both thrilled, and I'm so thankful I found a great support network like this. Hugs to all the ladies!
