My husband works a lot so most of the time it's just my kids and me going places! I think I do a good job with my 2 kids and I know what I can handle. What bothers me is my family and friends say things like "can you handle both kids? or I can't believe you are taking both kids!" Like today we go to a little kiddie water park and my kids love going. My family doesn't think I should go because it's dangerous for me to take both kids, but I know I am able to watch both of them plus they have lifejackets and there are lifeguards. I guess I just take offense that people think I am not capable of taking care of both kids by myself. I mean what do they want me to do- stay home all day? After about 11 months of taking both kids out I think I know what I am doing

What do you ladies think and are you in a similar situation?

Oh my goodness, every day! I CAN'T stay home, I need to get out! We're always going to the outdoor waterparks, parks, library, on walks, to the lake, whatever! Sometimes we meet up with friends there but many times it's just us.

DH is gone for work M-F 7am-5pm so if I waited for him to be home we wouldn't get out much!

Well i am one of the ones that dont get out much! i hate the thought of taken 3 under 4 out, maybe its just the thought putting me off but i havent tried it yet!! i might surprise myself and handle it better than i thought, but i get so anxious and nervous, i am always thinking negative about what could happen rather than the positive.. maybe i should try it one day!

Rarely. Andy works 7:30-5 but I've got so much to keep up with around here I don't have time and where we live, I honestly have no idea what we'd do. Sure we have a mall, the outlets, some parks but it's usually SUPER hot in the summer (like today, feels like 110 due to humidity) that I don't even want to go out

Yes, My DH is giving me a hard time that we do too much. I leave the house pretty much everyday.

But I cheat. I don't usually take all 4 by myself. I have gone to playgrounds and shopping with all 4 but usually it is various combos of 2 or 3 kids, or maybe a therapist tags along with us, or DH is with us.

I can't remember the last time we were home all day. Childrens museum, Lake, Pool, Playgrounds, McDonalds Playland, Splash Pad, Zoos, Carnivals, bike rides - we do something pretty much everyday.

Yes I take them both places with just me. We don't go out every day and when I go grocery shopping I try to go by myself when DH can watch them but I take them to the park, zoo etc by myself. Just this morning the boys and I went to the zoo for a few hours. It was fun but I'm finding that with being 6 months pregnant now I do get tired a lot more plus I have to go to the bathroom when we go out places which is a pain when you have two little kids with you.

that is exactly why i was always dehydrated during pregnancy. I would never drink before we left the house for fear I would have to pee LOL!

I take all 3 kids with me everywhere. we go to the water park 1-2 times a week, we go to the park almost everyday I will take them grochery shopping to doctors appts everything! I would not be able to sit at home and do nothing all day I would go insane!! yesterday after dinner was our first walk around the block with no stroller or moby wrap or wagon..all 3 walked I carried Brianna for a bit but she did great walking and the boys stay close and listen to me great they know to stay on the side of the road was quiet a pleasent walk. haha I get the same remarks from people, saying I am crazy to do it. I have friends who have one child who constantly say things like "I can't even take mine shopping you are nuts to take all your kids" I have no choice really I don't have anyone to watch them and I love doing things with them and takeing them out with me. We manage quite well

Haha too funny how your sense of "normal" and "easy" changes when you have more than 1. I used to think when I just had Aylie that taking her grocery shopping was so much work, now I take 3 regularly and when I only have 1 or 2 it seems soooooo easy!!

haha Dillan was such an easy baby he was a pleasure to take out so I really didn't feel the "stress" until Chase was born he hated the carseat so would scream the whole way there and I had to put him in the carrier which he didn't like much of either haha once we switched him to a convertable carseat and he was able to sit in the cart it has been great with him, haha he doesn't fuss at all anymore and Brianna has been a pleasure to have around she loves the carseat and the moby and the cart so it is win win now! Dillan will walk and help me put stuff in the cart, Chase will sit in the cart and Brianna is in the moby. It is so funny with her in moby when I am walking her legs are moving like crazy up and down and when I stop she stops moving her legs! hahaha it is so funny.
