Hi, I popped in to read some stuff on this board b/c DF & I were hoping to back to back our children. I had my first in June of 2012 (end of June), however she was a C-Sec and I am gonna have to wait a bit longer than I had hoped to. My question is though, has anyone on this board had back to back pregnancies after a C-Sec and if so how was the pregnancy, & how did your body handle the birth (assuming most anyway would want to do a repeat sec.). I'm just curious. My Ob's NP told me that if I got pregnant sooner than 1 year it wouldn't be that big a deal since my body did really well on the whole healing process after having my daughter, however I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in this??? Thanks in advance for any input I can get

I reposted this off one I did a few days ago, figured I might get more replies if I wasn't so vague on the title LOL
So in love with our Princess Kira Jean!!!

I got pg when my middle son was only 6 months old. he was delivered via c section.. and when it was time for my daughter to be born she was born via c section as well.. I didn't have any problems.. but you can't judge by what others say... each person handles surgeries different.

I am glad I'm not the only one curious. I had a c section with my 1st a year ago. And in 6 months we will be having baby number 2 come along. And more than likely another c section.

Emma's birth was rough. 27 hours of labor, over 2 hours of pushing, to end up c section. I felt horrible.

Thank you Vicki.... for my beautiful siggie!!!

I had my first kid in May 2010. Pushed for 3 hours and ended up with a section. I decided I wanted them close in age so I got pregnant a week before DS turned one! I had my second section in Jan 2012. So my boys are 20 months apart. Pregnancy was perfect. Section at 39 wks was great. DS #2 was a twin at first but it vanished around 8 weeks. I'm thinking of trying for a third in Jan, so it would be the same age gap and would be My third section.

I'm late in seeing this but I had DS#5, which was my 4th section, 1/12 and I'm due with my current bundle 12/12. I got pregnant very unexpectedly when DS#5 was almost 3 months old. I truly didn't even expect you could have babies in the same calendar year but here I am.

My pregnancy has gone perfectly. Baby is happy and healthy. No issues with my section scar and my OB has said that there is not any greater concern of anything just because I got pregnany again so soon.

I will agree with the PP that everyone is different. I have never had an issue with any of my pregnancies, including my twins. I have also made sure to ask about my uterus after each section and get dr notes so I can see for myself.

DD was born via emergency c-section. My OB/GYN told me to wait ABSOLUTE MINIMUM 3 months before getting pregnant. I got pregnant when DD was 6 months old. Second c-section was fine. Recovery was easier than first one...

ditto! I had a similar experience. I got pg with my 2nd child when my DS was 9 months old. I will have to have a c-section again, the dr doesn't seem to concerned though

All four of mine were c sections 13 months apart, no complications until the fourth.
