Well, I went to my ob office for a prenatal class. I asked the nurse to take my bp after the class to help me feel better. Well, my bp was 143/94 which is high. I was so upset that I started crying! The nurse said that she would talk to my dr in the am and call me tomorrow. Then oddly enough, my dr was on call and happened to walk in the door right in front of us! He stated that he wanted me to call the MFM right away in the morning to get in ASAP. He also stated that this was just for a consultation and that I may still be able to see him. He also said that just because my pb is up does not mean I will have pre-e and/or HELLP syndrome again. Please pray for me!!! Thanks

Thanks SandKmommy for my siggy!

You are still in the first trimester and usually neither Hellp or pre e is a problem. That us usually an end of second tri. Now Notice I did say usually. There are always exceptions to every rule. Always.

With that said high blood pressure alone means you have high blood pressure. And they is medicine you can take to control that.

To be diagnosed with anything else you have to have more than just the one symptom

of the top of my head blurred vision, headache, edema, protien in the urine. There is more but I have only had one coffee this morning lol.

So I don;t think you should be crying or worrying. That will make your situation worse. Go to the doctor and see what they say. More than likely he will give you meds to control the high blood pressure.

I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"

I put the "D" in lysdexia

Sanity is a cozy lie.

I know it is prob not pre-e yet but my bp was 115/58 mid July so this is a huge jump and it makes me nervous. My bp did not go up until 28 weeks with dd so I am just nervous. I spoke with the mfm nurse and they are wating for all of my records and the dr will then review them and then call me to make an appointment.

Thanks SandKmommy for my siggy!

I'm sorry!! Once again, and this has become my mantra for the day, I agree with Cindermella. Hopefully they will get you on some meds for your bp, and then things will continue in a normal manner. Don't freak out quite yet, K. Good luck! KUP.
