The normal cholesterol level is up to 5.7, and my result turned out to be 7 anyone knows what are the risks of high cholesterol during pregnancy? I'm really scared.

From what I know is that cholestrol testing is not recommended in pregnant women because you will get abnormally high results. Your body has to produce more cholestrol for your baby. They usually recheck it at your 6 week postpartum appointment. I was wondering though about your levels, I've never seen them expressed in that way. Like my cholestrol is 171 non fasting. Do you know what the difference is?

we follow the british system in expressing the cholesterol levels .. but you are right, I asked my doc. and she said that it's very normal to increase during pregnancy. I'm still in the average range (thanks God)
