I know we're a quiet board, but JM is having a motivational challenge and I thought we could all give it a try.

Let's all post one motivating statement and/or one piece of wisdom for future mommies who come to this board with your particular high risk condition. If you have multiple high risk conditions, pick whichever one you like. I'll get us started with one of each!

Diabetes - Words of Wisdom

Never give yourself an insulin injection without knowing what your blood sugar is. This way, you can help reduce accidental insulin-induced lows!

Diabetes - Motivational Thought
The way you control your diabetes know can affect whether or not your baby gets Type 2 diabetes later in life. So stay strong, you can do it!

Thank you Vicki for my awesome siggy!!

Oh, I like this idea!

IC Follow your instincs, if you feel like there is something going on get an appt with your dr. And don't let anyone tell you to ignore it.
Mom to 3 (1998, 2000, and 2009), step-mom to 1 (1995), two four-legged babies who bark, wife and full time student.
My days are busy, my house is messy, and my heart is full!

This is not issue specific, but...

Keep in mind that, chances are, your doctors have your best interest in mind. That being said, don't ever let a doctor brush off a concern that you have.

I am probably not too great at this but I will try

High Blood pressure
Listen to your own instincts, and don't just assume that having a bad headache while pregnant is just hormones, if it feels serious, at least have it checked out, it can also be a symptom of something more serious
