Well to start from the beginning.....
At some point yesterday I was outside and tripped over the dog, and fell. I had instant back pain after that and hurt my wrist some.

At about 4:30 I went pee and when I wiped there was a pink tinge on the paper. I wasn't too worried because I wasn't cramping. And the spotting stopped.

Well at about 10:30 I started cramping and spotting.... I went to bed at 11:30 but was in such immense pain I couldn't sleep. And then my back started cramping and spasming. At about 12:30 I called my mom and she said I need to go the ER.

So I hoped in the shower and at 1 am we arrived at the hospital.

They did some labs and started an iv. The doc came in said I was having a threatened miscarriage. The nurse came in with the doppler to find the fetal heart tones. We have a heartbeat! 170 bpm. But she said the baby was really really low, which is kind of unusual.
Then they did a pelvic. My cervix is closed but inflammed. And its not from sex since Its been 3 or 4 days.

The ER then called my doc to let him know what is going on. He said it is reassuring there is a heartbeat but I need to be on bedrest until the spotting stops or until he says otherwise. And I see him Wednesday. I am also on pelvic rest for 2 weeks

Can I tell you how much I hate bed rest? But I love this child so I will do anything to ensure their safety at this point.

Just wanted to update all you wonderfu ladies sinced you've been with me every step of the way here!

Bed rest sucks! But just so you know, any pregnancy bleeding is automatically called a "threatened miscarriage" but over 50% of them are not miscarriages. I have spotted since week 6 (10 weeks now, more than half my pregnancy) and while I'm not thrilled about having a hematoma I was VERY relieved when they stopped using the term "threatened miscarriage." Your fall and cramps probably just irritated your cervis, I had a friend who went through the same thing, cervixes are so sensitive!!! And I've never had a baby whose HB was much higher than 170, this baby hangs around 172ish all the time.

Sidelines National Support Network is a very helpful bedrest support agency, they can even hook you up with a bedrest phone buddy!

Thank you Vicki for my awesome siggy!!
