What prenatal test do you really dislike?
Have you ever refused a prenatal test?

I dislike the first trimester screening. I refused it and I also refused genetic counseling and the perinatologist, this time.
DS: 4
DD3: 9/19/14-10/19/14DS: 17months!

Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.

I hated the glucose tolerance test! The nasty orange drink and the sick feeling I got from it was enough to make me stop drinking anything with orange flavoring. Even now, 18 months later I can't drink orange soda or orange juice!

I didn't refuse any recommended testing while pregnant but my OB didn't believe I needed the first trimester screening. That's the only one I would have declined.

Thanks to Claire1979 for the terrific siggy!

I did not mind the glucose test, but I HATED the 3 hour test. I felt like I was going to pass out by the end of it!

I have never refused anything that my doctor suggested I have done. I did have the early screen done with Stella, but I will not be having it this time. Once I found out the false positive rates I decided to pass. My doc did not seem to think I needed it done either this time around.
