I went for my check up because of high blood pressure. I have been taking meds for the last 2 weeks. Well, it went higher: 160/100.
So, I spent the afternoon at the hospital for more tests. I found out I have slight pre-eclampsia. There is a normal that is supposed to be between 10 and 40 and I have 46. It was seen with a blood test. So, I even have more meds to take.
Since I have thyroid problems, they are also checking that cause maybe it is responsble for some problems.
I need to go back to the hospital on Wednesday and Friday.

And, I failed my first glucose test so I need to do another one on Thursday. At least, my baby heart is fine. I am grateful for that.

I'm right there with you, I just had my check - up and had all of those lovely signs for p.e going on protein, blood in urine, swelling, bp reaching 160/112. Now I have an appt every week for the next 4 weeks. The docs referred me to the feto-maternal unit to get an indepth u/s I think it may be like a level II in the states?? My meds got doubled, but other than that I feel ok, a bit tired but chasing after a baby and a 6 year old will do that! I hope everything settles down for you, my docs are a bit miffed at me for being so relaxed about all that is going on, I got the whole if you lose focus and your bp gets high like it did one day (164/122) then I am to go straight to the hospital - not just take some tablets and lay down like I did, but hey its easier said than done sometimes.
