I remember when my oldest son, Michael first started talking. I was so proud of him! He started VERY young and by 2 and a half was speaking in complete, fairly complex sentences. One day I was bragging about him on the phone with a friend and my dad says "Someone once told me something that rings very true. You spend the first two years of your child's life teaching them to walk and talk and the next 16 telling them to sit down and shut up!"
...and you wonder why I was in therapy for 6 years?
