Does it bother you to have your appointments rescheduled?

Do you ever feel like people take advantage of the fact that you're a SAHP when they schedule/reschedule your appointments?

I had two appointments rescheduled on me today. I was supposed to have my 36w OB checkup and they called to tell me the dr wouldn't be in the office. They did say I could still come in if I wanted to have a nurse checkup but that they wouldn't be able to do any of the things the dr needs done (you know, THOSE checkups at the end of a pregnancy ) I opted to go ahead and reschedule. Why drive up there if I'm not going to have an actual checkup?

Then I was supposed to have a non-stress-test done this afternoon, I get there, they have a few emergency walk-ins and give me one of those light-up discs that blink when it's your turn. After waiting 50 minutes past my appt time, I decide I better reschedule. After the test and the drive home, I'd be late getting my kids and DH would be gone to work. As I'm rescheduling the lady apologizes for the inconvenience and asks me when I'd be able to get off of work again to come back up. I tell her that I'm a SAHM and already have an appointment in the building on Wednesday so if we could do it then, that would be great. She nods and says, "Oh ok, so you don't have a schedule to work around then. How about..." and I was just taken aback. Excuse me?! Just because I'm not working outside of the home doesn't mean I don't have a schedule to work around. Ugh. Maybe it's the hormones, but that pissed me off lol

I've never had the office telling me they need to reschedule, usually I do it if I need to. That last part has never happened to me.

I can't believe she said that to you...I'd be soooo mad!!!!!
Thank you *Kiliki*!

Uh, I would be pissed!

People change things on me all the time! Or make appointments for me assuming that the day and time will be just fine ...grr!!!

you have every right to be pissed with that! i would have ripped her a new one!

I hate getting things rescheduled. Especially with a small baby. Its like people forget that my whole day revolves around him and his needs!
