We have electric heat. It hasn't been very cold lately, and our winters are relatively short here. We have a fireplace but rarely use it. I do keep a throw blanket on the couch in case anyone needs some extra warmth.

We have gas heat. It's freezing out today...need to crank it up. We try to keep the bill down though and wear warm sweaters and cozy socks...things like that if we can.

We have gas heat. We also have a wood stove in the basement and a gas fireplace on the main floor. We never use the fireplace though because of Avery. We only use the woodstove if we are going to be in the basement.

We have gas heat but it has been so cold lately that we also run the fireplace. When we buy our home a fireplace is a must! I love them. They feel so cozy.

We have a combination heat pump/gas heater. I hate the heat pump heat (it is a very cold kind of heat) so we run the gas heat most of the winter. The heat pump does work well for those fall and early spring nights where you only need a little bit of heat though. We also have a fireplace that we will light up every now and then (great for when the power goes out. We also have an electric blanket on our bed.

We have gas heat and have to pump it at night. We also own an electric fireplace that we can't use cause then the heat won't turn on and we have tenants to think about.

We have a wood stove that heats the whole house. I keep it blasting when DH isn't here -- I like it warmer than he does. I wear fleece PJs and have heavy down comforter on all beds.
