I am wondering if my baby is gona show his face anytime soon lol. I am 2cm dilated in the internal os but not the external os, I am about 30% effaced at moment, my plug has been gone for over a week now, getting a lot of lower backache, braxton hicks contractions (not any more than I was before losing plug) baby is on the brim of the pelvis but bobs in and out at present, I am using evening primrose oil capsules to help soften and ripen the cervix but it doesn't seem to have made any difference at present. Anything else I can try to help things progress? Anyone had any joy trying anything and think it helped or worked? My midwife has said that as it's my fourth baby he probably won't drop down into pelvis fully until in labour and that on subsequent pregnancies the cervix often dilates before effacement takes place, thanks
