I delivered on the 5th after a 3 day induction. I keep getting this pain, feels like it is in my cervix area, kind of a pulling/pushing feeling, it's hard to describe but it almost feels like my you-know-what is, like, falling out! My placenta was retained and had to be manually extracted, don't know if this could have anything to do with it......anyway it is really uncomfortable and I'm not sure if it is normal or not.......any ideas??? oh yeah, I had a catheter in for about 24 hours.

Maybe it's just pain from uterus shrinking back to size. I had a catheter in for 12 hours and I haven't experienced anything like that. Not sure about the placenta.

Yes! That falling out sensation...like your uterus has lots of pressure and will come out. I had this with number two. But I think it was from doing too much too soon. I should have been in bed for a week atleast. But I wasn't. *sigh* Take this as a sign that you need MORE rest and you need to be gentle with yourself. REST, REST, REST! Pick up nothing but your baby. Find others to help you clean, etc.
