Can I say how excited I am that this board is here!!! Here's my story :

The painful cramps started when I was about 15. By my first year at college (2000, 18yrs old) I was going to the doc almost every month for pain medicine. My GP in the University clinic sent me to the GYN there. She couldn't figure out what the problem was so she just diagnosed me with PID and gave me horrible IV antibotics that made me so sick. I went through three more OBGYN's before I finally found one that would listen to me. This was 4 years later. The first thing he said was "let's do surgery". I had the lap the summer of 2004. By the fall of 2004 I was in pain again. I did Lupron for 18 months. After that wore off the pain came back. He didn't think it could be endo again so he sent me to a gastroenterologist and a urologist. Of course they found nothing. I decided to see another doc in his practice who immediately said surgery. That was in August of 2006 - two weeks after I got married. The pain was back by December and I went on depo provera. I stopped that in early 2008 and went to the Nuva ring. I stopped that in November and up until my last AF I had no problems. It was heaven.

I'm now working with an OBGYN going through infertility testing. At my first visit she said she wanted to do another (the 3rd) lap. Hopefully after that I'll finally get my BFP. It's my 7th cycle TTC

Sorry this was so long.

Thanks to :shortcake: for my siggy

I'm so sorry you've had to go through so much and are about to have surgery again x x

I can't believe they did the same thing to you that they did to me at one point, saying it could't possibly be endo again and that it had to be a stomach problem. I really feel like doctors still don't know an awful lot about endo

Good luck TTC - I hope you get your BFP really soon and it's great to meet you! x x

~ Thank you Patty for my awesome siggy! ~

I also got sent to the GI doctor and got diagnosed with the the catch-all IBS. They did find adheshions in my colon during a colonoscopy but didn't know what it was, just that it was benign. Well I'll go ahead and self diagnose and say since the adhesions in my bowels were found in the same place the adhesions in my pelvis were found, I'm going to bet it was endo! Good luck in your journey! I hope we get BFP's soon!

I was never sent to a GI my OB always knew I had endo (well after she found it the first time) but when I went back when SO and I were TTC our son (who was born 10.28.08) she did a lap and I got PG 2 months later. It was very successful and it doesn't seem at this point like my endo has come back but I am on a 3 month cycle with Yaz BC. Good luck to you with TTC.
