Not sure if any of you live in south Cali or Phx AZ--or have been watching the news latley- Here in Arizona, we have been having a week of bad storms. Lets see, last year- Phoenix got less then an inch of rain the entire year.....YESTURDAY alone- we have gotten over 2 inches and another 2 inches of rain is predicted to fall by tomorrow night. Its great!! Our desert is sooo dry over here- but my backyard isnt set up for this much rain so we have been flooded out of our backyard. The water in our yard is up to the back door. (I'll post pics soon) And like I said- 2 more inches of rain is predicted by tomorrow. Up north- what we call the "cold country" part of AZ- has about 3-4 feet of snow on the ground and they are predicting another 3 feet of snow AS WELL as 2-3 inches of rain on top of the snow!!!! They're calling this next storm "catastrophic"- in the sense that everything will be flooded out because the dry ground we have can't possibly soak up 5 inches of rain this fast. ITS CRAAAAZZZYYYY!!!!! But......we love it at the same time!! It only rains here in AZ like 4 times a year!! I hope we don't get washed away!!

It's been crazy here too. 10 days ago the highs were in the upper 20's lower 30's which is NUTS for South Alabama. Then yesterday it was up to 70. We go from cold enough to snow to warm enough for tornadoes. Last night we had tornado watches, flood warnings, and thunderstorm warnings all night. My backyard isn't made for a lot of rain either. We have a small pond now that my stupid dalmatian decided to play in.

I hope the water stays away from your house!!

Thanks to :shortcake: for my siggy
