My name is Christine and I am a SAHM to 2 beautiful daughters. Gracie and Amelia Married to my DH for almost 8 years and been together almost 14 years. Well, I finally decided to start my 1st garden and it's looking great. Big and cherry tomatoes, yellow and orange peppers, jalepenos, eggplant, watermellon, squash, pumpkin and potatoes. Well, we are getting hit HARD with rain and I went to check on everything and its ALL flooded. I am praying everything will be ok, but everything is under water right now. Any words of encouragement? Or is my garden in trouble?

Welcome Christine. My name is Melissa.

I am sorry to hear about your flooded garden. Does this happen alot in you area. Because if its so then I would invest in getting raised beds for your garden. I hope your plants make it. If gets drained fast enough if its submerged in water too long, it might drown the plants. I have had this happen to me.

Thank you JMC1988 for the beautiful siggy!

I hope it drains for you! Is it flooded while it's raining or has the water been sitting there for a while? If it's while it's raining, your plants should be fine. The size of the plants will make a big difference. If they are small, the rain could have damaged their stems.

I can say - your potatoes are likely 100% ok!
