We found out that the reason my son is not growing is because he has low growth hormones. They will not start him on growth hormones yet and the endocrine clinic says there are several reasons. They say that there are not many growth hormones approved for children under three. I also read the book How To Get Your Kid To Eat by Ellen Satter and my son is eating. The endocrine clinic says I could give my son 5000 calories a day and he still won't grow but, FTT Clinic wants more answers. But, since my child is eating better now and still not growing at all I just got a better response from one of his doctors however most of the FTT Clinic still needs more convincing.

Oooo - congrats on getting an answer! Now you just have to work out the details on the plan of action, but having the diagnosis will help so much!

Glad you got some answers. I actually have a growth hormone deficiency. My mom decided not to put me on the growth hormones because at the time (20some years ago) she didn't feel they knew enough about the long term effects. I know that there has been a lot more research done on them since then.
Good luck with the treatment when they do start it.
