Any LO's not gaining in height? My little guy will be a year old on the 30th and he's so short. He has not gained any height since he was 10 months old. He's a bit of a slow gainer for weight, but we think he's probably just going to be small. Here are his stats.

birth: 5lbs 1oz, 17.5"
2 months: 9lbs 3oz, 21"
4 months: 11lbs 5oz, 23"
6 months: 12lbs 12oz, 24.5"
9 months: 14lbs 15oz, 25.5"
11 months: 15lbs 8oz, 25.75"

My daughter was a preemie (7 weeks early) and gained well. She was short in the beginning, but prems tend to catch up in weight before height. Her weight gain slowed down between 9-12 months, when she played catch-up in length. She was 16lbs 7oz at 9 months and 17lbs 1oz at a year. She was 28" by a year though. It's a little odd, I would have thought my boy would be bigger than his sister was, seeing that she was a preemie, a girl and born a pound smaller.

I think that not gaining in height in the last month and a half (you said not since 10 months and he's 11.5 months now, right?) sounds ok. If he continues to not gain in height over the next few months you could worry, but it's only been 1.5 months so far. And when babies get to be a year old their growth slows down. Sometimes kids grow in spurts too instead of at a steady rate. For example, my son didn't gain any weight between 18 month and 2 year appt, but when he went back for a weight check three months later he was caught back up. Also keep in mind that they way they measure them is not that accurate - if the kid moves just a bit or if they don't stretch a leg out all the way it can be off by an inch or so. My daughter was measured as 1 inch shorter at her 2 week appt than when she was born! I know she didn't shrink! LOL So I'd say give it some more time and see what happens. (But if you are worried about it - talk to the ped - you're the mom so you know best).
