These are Alexanderias symptoms and I am wondering if any of you had anything similar?

Doesn't gain a lot of weight. (She is thin but has chunk though, chubby thighs and such, she just turned 12 months and wears 18 month clothing.)

She poops twice a day but it is usually loose, almost pasty, sometimes diarreha.

Some of her foods come out whole but I figure that is just because kids don't eat chew enough.

Her poops usually leave letting red bumps on her butt if not changed right away.

Just wondering thoughts?

Wish I could post pictures, will hopefully upload some soon.

Hm...we do, but a lot of it is related to Milo's syndrome. I know that a lot of kids end up with those red bumps if not changed quickly enough. That could just be sensitive skin. The whole foods, YES, but I think that's normal. (Kannon used to LOVE black olive rings, but they would come out just like they went in. I don't know why that's the one that freaked me out every time.) I know that poop can still be different consistencies, but with her not gaining weight, maybe it does mean something. I know that some kids just have problems gaining, but it's always the first sign of something else, too. Are you seeing anyone for it? I'd imagine that they'd want to do a full panel of blood tests just to rule out thyroid, absorption, metabolic, enzyme, and other digestive issues. Who knows? How long has it been since Alexanderia gained weight?

Danny had all of this to a T. Except he had those poops 5+ times per day. This is the reason he is not gaining weight but we still have not really found the cause of the diarrhea but have eliminated a few things. At this point I would say it may be allergy related. If Danny eats carrots and is not changed literally within 60 seconds he gets a diaper rash that almost bleeds. See if you can eliminate something....usually milk or soy...and see if that helps...if she is on whole milk you may be able to try and get the lacotse free milk and see if that helps before doing anything else. If your ped isn't open to anything but "it is just normal baby stuff" as mine was you can talk to them about it and maybe get some suggestions...
