My DS is 12 months and was born premature at 32 wks weighing 3 lbs. Our pediatrition plots his growth chart usisng his corrected age. In the first few months (corrected age) he was almost at 10 percentile but since his 8 month check up he has fallen below the 3rd percentile. My DS has always been a "picky" eater, along with having GERD. We are know being seen at the Childrens hospital at the "food disorder clinic". Too be honnest its only been about 1.5 mths at the clinic but in the last month instead of improving after being sick he has lost over 1 lb ( he only weighs 16.5 lbs), he will only eat about 6 oz of oat cereal, half a banana pure, and 12 oz of formula in a 24 hour period. The doctor at the food clinic mentioned that there is a medication that can be prescribed to stimulate his appetite. Has anyone heard of this or tried this? I'm new to this and feel lost, like there are qsts I should be asking, or other exams that should be done... Any advice is welcome!!
