Okay, I'm obsessing, I know. BUT...I had a m/c on Feb 25th. Not exactly sure when AF will arrive. I have been testing for ovulation with opks to give me a little bit of an idea when she will show.

My question is...assuming I will ovulate of course...would it be possible to conceive this time around? Is it not possible until I ovulate a second time post m/c?

My husband wonders why I'm testing...I say it's because I want to know about when to expect "her". But way way deep deep down inside, part of me hopes maybe it could happen if I ovulate this time. I was on clomid when I conceived and it was the first month of really keeping track and making sure to do it on the right days.

But, I've heard so many say to wait for the first real cycle. Others have said the doctor didn't say any waiting was necessary. So, I'm confused. If I DO ovulate before AF, could we try??? would a m/c be likely to happen if I didn't wait til the next cycle?

I just can't seem to wait. And I'm not even sure I will ovulate this time...I have somewhat irregular cycles. Hence the clomid last time.

Any ideas anyone? Suggestions or thoughts??

After both of my miscarries/D&C`s last year. {May & Dec.}The doctor I was going to at the time told us to start TTC right away. But, I have heard other health care providers say it is best to wait atleast 3 cycles. For emtional reasons & just to let your body get back to normal.

Just from the ones I know that have been through all of this.....They usually start TTC after the 1st cycle.

Good Luck to ya!

I say "do what you feel is right".. I waited one cycle, not by choice, but because I had surgery , so I had to wait, and my period showed up while I was waiting!

How far along were you when you m/c? Have you seen your Dr. and had an hcg test to make sure your hcg is back to zero? What did your Dr. say about waiting? I would have all those quesitons answered before you ttc this cycle. My Dr. told me to wait for AF after the m/c and then we could try again. The waiting is horrible (I'm not a patient person), but we managed to get through it.

Also, I did ovulate before AF came. It sucked knowing that I couldn't do anything about it, but I knew it was best for my body and I was following Dr's orders.

Good luck!

I was about 5.5 weeks along when I miscarried. The doctor didn't really ever say anything about waiting. Just that she wanted to see me in 4 weeks. They tested my hcg on March 1 and it was at 18. They haven't checked it since then, but I would be surprised if it still registered. It was falling very rapidly. Went from 513 to 129 to 18 in a weeks time. I have been told 3 times now that it was a 'complete miscarriage'. So, I don't know if that means I can try again immediately or what. The last time I m/c'd 5 years ago, the doctor told me to try again right away. Never said anything about waiting.

If I am going to ovulate then I would like to try right away. But, not at the expense of the pregnancy. If and when I conceive, I want it to be a healthy baby.

I was told to wait 3 cycles as it takes up to 9ks for your hormones to get back to normal and if you get pregnant before you are more likely to miscarry, hence why i miscarried before as i never waited.
