How long after a loss should you wait to DTD? I haven't been actually bleeding for the past few days, but I'm still spotting a bit. I didn't have any spotting all morning and got kind of excited that maybe we can DTD tonight, but now I'm spotting a bit again. Is there a general recommendation about this? I can't remember exactly how things went after my first loss.

After my D&C I was told to wait 2 weeks, just to make sure my cervix was fully closed and have less risk of infection. I waited the same amount of time (2 weeks, until my checkup) after my other losses, too.

Thanks. Sunday will be two weeks. I guess we'll wait a few more days. Better safe than sorry.

My doctor also recommends 2 weeks to give the body time to heal.

Mine told me that it would be ok after all bleeding stopped.. so that's what I did, but it was quite tender for a little bit even after that.

I believe that my doctor told me to wait until all bleeding had stopped after my D&C. I didn't bleed much after the D&C, but we still waited about a week or so, just to be sure.

My doctor said it was fine when we were ready. I think she knew that regardless we would (I'm hardheaded ) I would try to wait until the bleeding stops and you should be fine!
