Hi everyone -
I'm 19 and from Maryland, and my DB and I are in talks about TTC. I had a miscarriage at 8 wks in Dec. of '04. The pregnancy was not planned but after the loss we realized how much we wanted to have a baby. This month my period was really strange which led me to believe I was pregnant, but the blood test came back negative. I usually have a regular 28 day cycle and it always starts in the early morning on Day 28. This month, I started to have light pink and brown spotting on Day 27, and that continued until Day 31 (sorry if this is confusing), then overnight I started bleeding bright red. What could have caused this weird upset? I have not been on birth control pills for 3 months. Also, I wanted to check what my fertile days are for the next couople of months, but when should I count as my LMP - the first day of spotting or the first day of bleeding? Thanks for the help and good luck and babydust to all of you

So sorry for your loss.
I always count from the first day of bleeding.

First let me say I'm sorry for your loss! But, we're happy to have you join us on the board!!

My doctor always told me not to count days of spotting. CD1 is the first day of RED blood (or normal bleeding).

Good luck in cycles to come. Don't be shy!!

I understand what you're going through. I've had 2 m/c's. Welcome to JM, although I wish we met on a happier board!
