First B-day -Keep it small there is no need to have a big one . You can purchase cake from Walmart, Albertsons or even Costco or other places that can make you a cake style you want .

Most of the bigger size cakes are for the rest of people there as most of the time stores give away a free small cake for the kids first b-days.

Plus less friends with family will lessen embrassment from family members in front of your friends .

Toys - make sure before you buy any toys or if you bought some make sure they are not on the recall and keep an eye out in case they end up being on one .

Sometimes toys can b bought ahead of time then a couple months later they end up on a recall list .

That happened to a couple of Brendan's toys and I was like Oh Geez!
