My name is Jeni, and I have four children. Grace is 9, Lily is 6, Felicity is 3, and Jackson is 18 months old.

Grace already has diagnoses of sensory processing disorder, sensory modulation dysfunction, auditory processing disorder, and developmental dyspraxia. Today we had an intake eval with a psychologist to begin the process of diagnosing Grace somewhere on the spectrum. This is no a shock to me, as my husband has self diagnosed himself with Aspergers, and many friends of ours with sons on the spectrum readily agree with his assessment. The psychologist will be doing formal testing on may 4th, but said to me today that she would suspect either Aspergers or PDD-NOS as a diagnosis.

Grace had been homeschooled until this past January, and we put her in public school. Our curriculum did not seem to be working well, and it became clear to us that on top of her other diagnoses, she probably also has some learning disabilities. She is supposed to be tested at school and receive an IEP, but they are dragging their feet, so I need to get something in writing.

I'm sure I will have more questions once we get more detailed information, but I thought I would say hello!

Thank you BAM for my signature!!

Welcome, Keep on top of the school. I just put everything in a letter now, I don't even bother going about it the nice way. Good luck with the IEP
