So they day has finally come. I have been waiting 3 months to take my son to Sick Kids and now we are going tomorrow. He is booked for an EEG and bloodwork. Just another of many steps we have been taking while seeking out an answer for his behaviour and delays.

We have had a CAT scan and an MRi. This is our first EEG. I am a little nervous about what they may find. The blood work is to check for a chromosome imbalance called Fragile X. Not sure what I will think if it comes back positive for the condition.....

I am a ball of nerves as these appointments approach. We are a mere 16 days away from his developemental assessment!!! To finally have answers we have desperately longed for is exciting but worrisome.

Anyone have advice?

I wish I could help. My second did all of those tests, but it was pretty easy to work with a sleeping newborn. Just act calm, bring some toys and a book to read I guess. I hope you get answers soon!

Good luck hun!!
I know it can be very nerve-wracking to be getting answers and at the same time dreading the news... Big hugs to you.

Crazy enough to try all over again for a second together baby! Hoping for a much less wild ride this time!
