They send home these daily behavior reports. I don't even need to read them anymore.

Anytime she eats:
Anytime she plays:
Morning Schoolwork:
Nap time:

Anything at all after her lunch and nap:

Every child and adult in the world is DONE after lunch. Why are we squeezing subjects in during this time? Why is my non-communicative child being forced to learn math? I just want her to know things like flushing the toilet and putting on her own shoes. Is that bad? I care more about life skills than academics.

I called up her teacher and asked her not to fill in the smiley faces next to the written reports. Those smiles and frowns mean nothing to Alice so they are obviously meant for me. Your kid only got a scheduled 15 minute rest time and then we wanted her to do math! Your kid did not want to do it! Bad mom!

I think it's time for another IEP meeting!
