He will probably get the flu shot, I'm not sure about the H1N1 shot. It is not mandatory.

Undecided. They said on the news last night that B would need 3 shots (because he's turning 4) and D would need 4 shots (because he's turning 1). I don't really want them getting that many on top of the normal shots. Besides, they're not available around here until mid-late Oct. Both flus are hitting my church hard right now. I'm surprised my kids don't have it yet.

If B was still in preschool, it would be required, but it's super easy to get an exemption in TX.

Vanessa will get the normal flu shot at her well visit tomorrow. The school requires it.

Will you and/or your child have the flu shot this year? Yes, Ally and I went and got the flu mist a couple weeks ago. The nasal mist is so much easier to have done and supposedly it covers more strains of the flu (that is what we were told last year anyway)

Is it mandatory in your school? I know the yearly shots are mandatory but I don't think the flu shot specifically is. Not totally sure, I just know one of the nurses fills out a form once a year about what she has been vaccinated for (that the doctor signs) for school but that is done earlier in the year.

I will probably get their seasonal flu shots soon but Im not sure about the H1N1 yet. We've already all had the flu and pretty sure it was probably the swine flu strand but since they didnt specifically test for it I dont know...Im hoping it was though so that we are immune, lol.

Yes, he will get the regular flu shot, but no to the H1N1 shot.

I don't believe that the flu shot is mandatory.

We do not vaccinate, so no.

She's not in preschool, we do preschool at home.

If a school receives funding by the state, vaccines aren't mandatory/required because a child can get an exemption.... even if they try to tell you that they are required.

It's not mandatory. No shots are "mandatory"...you always have an option (fill out a waiver)

We don't typically get the flu shot and we are currently getting over the flu right now!

We don't do vaccinations here. When Ian starts school, he'll be homeschooled, so we don't have to deal with the school's rules, either.
