Hi there, my name is Kim and I have a dd who is 3.5. We've just recently decided to not have any more children, we were kind of trying, I thought for sure I was pg, then when I wasn't, we both felt more relieved than sad about the whole thing. I'm sort of glad, kind of like a weight off my shoulders in a way. Plus, my age was a factor as well, I'm 37. Anyway, if anyone here has only children, or was an only child, I'd like some feedback. I'm still kind of thinking that she might miss something without a sibling, she has a lot of female cousins her age, one newborn, 1 and 2. I don't think she'll be too lonely, especially once she start kindergarten. Anyway, that's my story.....

Hi, I'm Meghan, I'm 24, my hubby's 25, he had a vasectomy in April 2005 AND I am staying on b/c so we are definitely not having anymore. Our son just turned 5 a month ago. I am also an only child as is my mother, so he'll be 3rd generation. Feel free to ask me anything you want!

Hi, I'm Alison, I'm 25, and have one daughter, Elsa. I would LOVE more, but my boyfriend has 3 kids of his own and feels done.

I sometimes feel a bit sad thinking my daughter will never get the exeperience of having a sibling. She has step siblings, but I don't think it's the same as a real sibling. Plus, most moms I know have more than one, and I often feel out of the parenting loop. I get comments like, well, you only have one, you wouldn't understand. But then I know she also never has to want for anything. It's a lot easier to buy for one than it is for more than one. I'm finding that out, since I can't help but buy things for my boyfriend's kiddos!

Thank you AlexKatieAiden Mommy for my siggy!
