I've been wondering why the neighbors haven't been lighting fireworks yet...last year they had started already. We live by the lake, so we sat up last year & watched them over it a few nights. Normal fireworks I don't mind...heck, we do a lot too.... But then they start the m80's & other crap like that until 4 A.M That of course woke Riley up {it was so nice outside I wanted my windows open} & he was up for almost 3 hours....NOT normal for him...he sleeps all night, but these were just too loud. So he's in a major crabby mood today. My dad stopped by this morning & he plans on staying for awhile so that's good....Riley loves his papa! Later we'll have to take the boys somewhere since it's nice out again. I'm so sleepy

Me too!!! Our road is kind of desolate so just about 200 feet from our driveway, down the road, someone owns this big empty lot and they have pig roasts and parties there -in that lot- quite often in the summer. It's honestly a real pain in the rear since it goes on all night and sometimes it's year round (weather permitting!)!!!

What's even worse is that even if we bothered to report the noise being a problem nothing would be done about it since according to our neighbor....it's a cop who holds these parties!!!!!

My DH and I used to be fuming about it when Vanessa was smaller but now...I think we've learned to somehow block it out.
