I have been having trouble potty training my son. At first, he seemed like he was getting it, doing well at it, and being very accepting of it. Well now he has lost interest and just kind of toys with it. Today, he decided to test me.

He took off his pull up and dumped a nice fresh load on my bedroom carpet. I walked in and stepped all through it. I NEVER curse in front of my kids.. but I rattled off so many curse words in that short moment.... Even if he still doesn't go #2 in the potty for a while, I don't think he will ever do what he did today again!

Now that I've cleaned it all up, I can laugh at it, but boy was I MAD!!

yuck! i hope he did learn not to do it again. what was your response with him? we only had two poop accidents in underwear because Sam would never poop, so I can only imagine how ticked off you were stepping in it.

I was fortunate, Caleb never did that (underwear or pull-ups). He would hold it until bedtime (because he was in pull-ups at the time).

I think I would go completely ballistic too. Don't think I would have cursed, but I sure would have shown him that I was VERY angry for sure.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything that you can do since poop training, IMO, is the worst part of potty training. Obviously, testing will occur - and yours was definitely testing - but to actually come up with something to train for poop, I've yet to come across anything.

How is he doing in the pee department? Has he lost interest in that as well, or is it just poop?
