I have been trying to potty train Rachel for a while now. The other day I caught her hiding to go poop. I took her to the potty to poop. She did but then started bawling because she got her potty dirty. I told her it was ok but she won't go near the potty now. What can I do to get her going to the potty again?

Make a huge deal of it, give her special treat that she doesn't get very often and tell her that each time that she goes poop on the potty, she gets that special treat.

Poop training is hard to do becuase that's the last bit of control that they have of potty training. The fact that you got her to go is a good thing. Now, it's to keep motivating her and find that once you find the motivator that works, it will go so much smoother.

It is funny that she is doing this in my eyes. She would roll in mud if given the chance but she don't want to go potty b/c it gets the potty dirty.

What about putting her on the "big" potty? If that works for her, maybe you could get her one of the rings that goes over the toilet? That way when it goes in the water and you flush it down it doesn't seem like it's getting the potty dirty. Bless her heart! Good luck!
