Hi all,

I have an almost 27 month old who we started potty training with about 5 days ago. She has been doing pretty great so far. She had 2 accidents 1st day, 1 accident the 2nd and 3rd days and no accidents since. My only concern is that she is terrifed to use the potty when we are out. She will scream and cry and I can't get her on it. Instead she just holds her urine in and won't go. She does wear diapers at bedtime and naptime and sometimes she goes then, othertimes she will be dry when she wakes up. Today she had a wet diaper when she woke up at 8:45am and then didn't go all day until she woke up from her nap at 5pm. Is that healthy? I offered her the potty numerous times during the day and even tried to put her on it twice which she refused and instantly jumped off. She doesn't drink a ton of liquids during the days, but she used to have at least 2-3 wet diapers a day before potty training. Sometimes she asks for a diaper like she did today before nap. I put one on her and she took a 2.5 hour nap and woke up dry! I really don't want to put her back in diapers during the days because she has been doing so good, but I am not sure if she is at risk of a UTI for holding it so long? Any advice?

Thanks Vicki for my always awesome siggy!
