I started potty training about a month ago and my daughter was pretty emotional about it, it was practically a battle to get her to go. Since there was such a power struggle; I knew that her body was physically ready because she was waking up dry and holding in her urine, I decided ( after lots of advice from her teachers and my coworkers) to back off and not bring it up at all until she was ready or willing. I work at her school and I know that most of her friends and her class are potty trained, but the social aspect of training doesn't seem to affect her because she is still totally uninterested. I think that she is not emotionally ready, and for her it's probably easier when I change her pull-up or diaper. I wanted to see if there is anyone else who had a similar situation to mine and any advice. 😅

I got the same situation before. My daughter, when she was 2 years old, I bought her a potty picture book and read her several times. Then after she ask to read a potty book by herself, I tried to convince her and it worked. But for my daughter it's only for urine and she was still asking for diaper when she wanted to poo. Then I took a break and tried another method and it was done.

Don't be stress and frustrate.

Good luck
