I'm not certain as we weren't trying but I think I tested at 15, 16, and 17 dpo.
My tests weren't dark but obviously there. I'm a little concerned that they weren't as dark as the test line by then. At 18 dpo with my last pregnancy it was much darker though it was a different brand.
I have read that after a few weeks your levels get so high that sometimes tests won't even come out positive. Could that be the case? I go to the dr. In 6 days

I have always had faint lines in the earlier weeks of my pregnancies. They're really dark if I decide to test at say 6-8 weeks, but the early ones are always really faint... and every faint line is running around me this evening (well, one is still cooking).

I think faint lines are pretty normal but you could have your doctor do betas if you're really concerned. Those early weeks feel a bit like pins and needles!

Thanks for updating! So glad that everything is going well so far!

Every test is different. Some contain less dye than others Glad your pregnancy is healthy and going well!
