Went to my NT Scan at 13wks 2days, the baby was very cooperative, and I asked to see if she could guess the gender, I know its still to early. But anyways she looked at the rear of my child like the baby was sitting, and there was absolutely nothing in between, she said I'm only aloud to give you my opinion but I don't see anything protruding in between those legs, as I didn't see anything it was two legs and that's it. So my ? Is how accurate can this be, and if my so called daughter is a boy shouldn't there be a penis forming by now, or is one going to appear all of a sudden lol?

usually exterior genetalia isn't going to even be visable until 16 weeks. it may be able to be seen before, but its rare. just because there is nothing there doesn't mean it's going to be a girl, because actually in girls, their parts are seen in a protruding manor. i wouldn't take that guess as anything more than a shot in the dark. that's why most places won't give you a gender prediction until around 18 weeks when the baby parts are more distinct. the earlier the gender scan is given, the more likely it is to be inaccurate. with my second son i had my ultrasound at 18 weeks and they told me he was a girl.

It is really hard to tell the gender that early, however, if it had been done at 16 weeks than it would be more reliable.
