I hope someone can relate to my situation. I am almost 20 weeks pregnant and have had bacterial vaginosis (BV) three times now during this pregnancy. I did not get it until 16 weeks, 18 weeks, and now. This is my third time taking flagyl for 7 days. I am so worried that the BV will cause pre-term and also worried that the amount of flagyl I have been taking every 1-2 weeks will affect my baby. My OB is unsure why I keep getting BV but if this third treatment does not work, then we will look at other options. Has anyone else had recurrent BV during their second trimester? Did everything turn out okay? I am on pelvic rest so I have not had sex since I was 4 weeks pregnant, I do not douche, and I do not use scented bath products.

This has been a hard pregnancy and I am so worried about a miscarriage/stillbirth. Any responses are appreciated.
