One of my scrappy friends does the ABC through the year basically on the lunar calendar. We are also folooowing along however we are using it for FHE. So we do a lesson on the first FHE of a letter and an activity on the second FHE of the letter.

A we did Amen as the lesson for my 14 MO daughter. After we put her to bed we did our lesson on Atonement.

The second A FHE re read the book "All Quiet on the Western Front" Nad for FHE we watched the movie together.

B we did the baby's lesson on brishing and gave her her first tooth brush. We also went over Blessings particularly on birth and watched the business of being born.

Next week we will have an activity that starts with B. A movie or a game my 13 YO will pick.

I figure with this kind of frame work that we will be motivated to move forward through the alphabet and have something to structure our topics by.

That sounds like a fun way to have FHE. Especially with younger children. TFS!

That's a good idea! I'll have to save that for when I have a family!

Thank you to the wonderful ladies who mad the blinkies!

"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

Here is her blog thing on it. Her kids aren't so young either.
