Newbie here! Im NoMoreBabies4Me and a mommy t0 one little girl who joined our family through the miracle of adoption. She is now 3 years old! WOW!
Dh (to whom I have been married for nearly 3 years and fall in love with more and more each day ) has 3 children through a previous (and mighty hellacious) marriage. He has decided he wants no more children.
I am sort of okay with it....and sorta not On the one hand, I feel like its unfair, because I have never had a chance to do the newborn and birthing thing. However at the same time, I do not really "feel it" when it comes to raising another child. I think I just want the tinyness that a newborn brings, but not necessarily another 18yr commitment. So what are we going
Im hoping to foster newborns after DD gets into school. We plan on sending her to school for Kindergarten and 1st Grade (to get her a good foundation for reading) and then I plan on homeschooling her using an Eclectic Waldorf/Unschooling approach. I figure that during the 2 years she will be in school, I would foster newborn to 3 month babies as emergency or respit care. That would give me the experience I so crave of the up all night feedings and such (yes, I actually WANT that! LOL! ) but would allow me to not have to make the commitment, and also sits better with DH because he wont have to worry about another mouth to feed, diaper, etc (fostercare pays for their needs).
Any others out there Done having babies, but still crave that babyness?
Our children are not ours because they share our genes...
they are ours because we have had the audacity to envision them.
That, at the end of the day...or long sleepless night,
is how love really works.

Welcome! Yeah I crave the pregnancy and newborn phase. I LOVED being pregnant, it's so amazing. I have four beautiful kids and dh just had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago....so we are done! Even though I would have liked to have the option to have another someday....but oh well!! I'm happy
