Hello, I'm new to this site and I have a couple of questions. My son Aiden is 7 weeks old and on the second day home from the hospital I had a panic attack. I don't know why but I just had this sudden sensation of extreme panic and felt like I was losing my mind. Since then no more panic attacks but around the same time at night as the original panic attack (6-7pm) I start to get anxious for no reason. Now my question is are these signs of postpartum depression/anxiety or is it just maternal hormones/lack of sleep?
(My panic attack was relieved by getting some much needed rest, since I hadn't slept more then 1 hour straight since he had been born)
Anyone else experience this or something similar?
Any advice would be appreciated.
