So I've been losing weight pretty steadily and regularly since I had Phoebe. I had my blood checked yesterday and after they had upped my thyroid meds to 100mcg from 75mcg during pregnancy, they now need to lower them back down. They're lowering them to 50mcg. I'm hoping that it's not too low and that I don't end up gaining weight back and I can keep losing somewhat steadily. I'm just a bit nervous about it.

Thank you Vicki... for my siggie!

I hope all goes well. How did you find out you had thyroid issues? What is the main way they find out you have it?

I ask cause I still haven't got around to finding a doctor (been about 6 months) and I think maybe thats my problem. Havent don research on it though

I actually was having a physical for college or something and my doctor felt that one of my glands was slightly enlarged. They took blood and found out my thyroid was underactive (hypothyroidism). They suspected it was because of such a lack of iodine in my diet (you get it from table salt, which I never used). I guess some of the symptoms are: unexplained weight gain, unable to lose, always cold (esp hands and feet), I really don't remember much more. I have to be on thyroid meds the rest of my life, though

Thank you Vicki... for my siggie!
