Does being bigger run in your family?

It does in mine. My mom and sister both have PCOS, and my mother has a thyroid issue and so losing weight is super hard.

My sister went on a special new diet last year and lost weight. Now she and my mom are pushing as hard as they possibly can to get me to do it too. This drives me insane. Leave me alone. If I want help, I will ask for it. Yes, I know you have my best interests at heart. It's still annoying and a bit hurtful.
I try my best to do what works for ME. It's really hard for me to do a fad diet with kids in the house to feed!

Does your family push you into all sorts of things 'trying to help'? Or make you feel bad about the way you are?

Crazy enough to try all over again for a second together baby! Hoping for a much less wild ride this time!

TTC with PCOS for 5 very long years. Annovulatory cycles. Multiple doctors. Different meds. One horrible loss. And then one wonderful success, born 2/18/14.

I never knew until that moment how badly it could hurt to lose something you never really had. - Missed Miscarriage at 10 weeks - 3/26/13

My Aunts on my Mom's side tend to be a little heavier, but most have gotten healthier in the past few years. Luckily my family doesn't push things on me as far as dieting or losing weight. I got a lapband last April, which took me about a year to decide to get. They are supportive thankfully. They offer advice, but don't push it down my throat.

My dad is a big guy and a few of my uncles on his side are too. My family never pushes anything about weight. We get on my dad every now and then because of his health, but that is it.
