Hello everyone I am new and just started on here yesterday. I have been following NTNP but think my DH and I need to finally realize that we are TTC our first. We decided to start trying after my BC implant was removed in June. When we first started we just said if it happens it happens. Last month I was a week late and I know my DH was starting to get excited so I tested and got a BFN. This month I was right on time and my DH was a little disappointed because he thought for sure we made it happen. (His quote not mine )

By the way my name is Melissa and I am 25 and my DH is Brandon and he is 27. I have always wanted kids and would have loved to have them sooner, but we wanted to wait until we were married so my family wouldn't be upset. Brandon and I have been together for 8 1/2 years but only married for 4 months now.

We would love to get our BFP before the end of the year. But if not we will continue to try until it happens. We try to not stress and think about it and keep things fun, but we know in the back of our mind that is all we are thinking about is maybe this time will be it.

I look forward to following everyones story and meeting all of you. Hoping that this will help to make the time go by especially sharing it with people in the same situation, especailly because most of our friends don't really want kids. A few of our friends are expecting, but they were all unplanned and it makes me even more jealous. So here is to finding friends to talk with and embark on a new journey with.

Welcome I'm Christine and I also joined about 2 weeks ago but new to this board. Somewhat of a similar situation except we apparently skipped the NTNP phase as my husband is 35 so he finally just calmly demanded how he wanted babies last month. I wanted him to choose when he was ready as I'm only 27 so I've got plenty of time I figured. After a BFN last month though and being late while just trying and not really charting I figured I better try harder. I know what you mean about watching others who aren't trying getting lucky though! Hopefully it'll happen for you soon though!

and to both of you!

You have certainly found a great place to be when it comes to TTC your first. We have all been-there-done-that, and will be more than happy to listen to your rants (and raves, whenever they happen).

My name is Christi and I'm 38 (39 in December). My DH is 42 and has a 13-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. I'm a type 1 diabetic (dx at age 13) and never really realized that I wanted my own kids until June of this year. I had always thought it wasn't possible as I'd never before been PG, but had never tried. We are on cycle #4 and while I still don't think it's possible, we are also trying to adopt through the Arizona foster care system. So one way or another, I hope to be a mom soon (and not just a step-mom).

We all hope your stay is short, but we hope you have a good time while you're here, too, no matter how long that might be.

Me: 41, DH: 44 (He has a 15-year-old from a previous marriage)
I'm a Type 1 diabetic (28 years and counting), and I've had gastric bypass (Dec, 2013 - currently at goal weight)

Started with an RE on 7/23/2014 and so far:

SA came back with 44 million, 27.3% alive
Fibroids present, endometriosis suspected, had surgery in Dec 2014 to correct
HSG normal - both tubes open

Cycle 1: August, 2014 - Natural, failed

Cycle 2: September, 2014 - Chemical Pregnancy

Cycle 3: October, 2014 - Failed IUI

Cycle 4: November, 2014 - Failed IUI

Cycle 5: December, 2014 - Missed due to surgery

Cycle 6: January, 2015 - Failed IUI

Cycle 7: February, 2015 - Failed IUI

Cycle 8: March, 2015 - Natural cycle, failed

Cycle 9 - IVF #1: April, 2015 - 13 eggs retrieved, 8 fertilized, 4 transferred (3-day), 4 frosties. Chemical pregnancy.

Cycle 10: Natural cycle in preparation for FET in June, 2015.

Hi there Melissa!

I'm Katie and DH and I have been TTC#1 for 14 months. It is great to have this board and these wonderful women to be able to support us. It's been a lifesaver that's for sure, and helps so much to have people in the same boat as you are to share in your ups and downs.

Looking forward to getting to know you, but hope your stay is short!

~thanks to Jaidynsmum for my perfect siggy!~

Hi Melissa sorry im a bit late introducing myself, i'm Jen and im the co-host for the board. me and DF are currently on cycle #16 after i had surgery last month to open up my right tube. We've been together 7 years but just got engaged this july and are currently plannning our wedding!

I think you've got a great attitude for TTC, it can be really hard and stressful at times and it really helps to have all the ladies here who understand.

i hope your stay here is short and sweet
