My husband and I have been TTC for almost 2 years now, I have PCOS and they put me on Metformin (ironically my husband takes the same for his Diabetes) however, it makes me soo very sick (I cant eat or keep in it and I'm always in the bathroom, and it gets out of control) I am making an appt to see if I can be put on something else because I cannot take the non-stop bathroom trips and uncontrollable bowels. My doctor also talked about Clomid... whats the difference between that and Femara(i think thats what its called). I would like to become pregnant in within the next 2 years (or sooner)'Thanks in advance!

Hi I'm Jen, one of the co-hosts for the board. I'm sorry your not getting on so well with the Metformin. I'm afraid I havent taken any meds to help TTC yet so cant offer advice re Clomid and Femera - although some of the other ladies here may be able to help!

I'm not familiar with Femara, though I know that some ladies that didn't have success with Clomid did with the Femara.

For the Metformin - do you know if you were on the regular or the extended release (ER) version? A lot of people have trouble with the regular version and the ER tends to help with the tummy troubles. So if you have the regular version, see if you can try the ER version.

Also, with being on Met, greasy foods tend to set it off big time with getting sick so you really have to eat healthy on it
