It has been too long since my last post, but I have some good news! After TTC for a year with no doctors help, just research and trying everything possible, we are finally in the "all-aboard" stage. Yesterday, I eagerly, went to the OBGYN. I was so nervous that I might have PCOS and if so, what my options were. We sat and talked about all the things DH and I tried over the course of the year. The doc and I came to the conclusion that Im not ovulating, which I already knew. But I was still very nervous about whether or not I was healthy and free from PCOS. So we then went to an examination room. He did his thing and I laid there praying. After all of about 1 min., he was done! He left the room and came back with papers. He told me to go back to charting and temping but while doing that, that days 3-7 of my cycle I would need to take Clomid. He said I was healthy and there was no PCOS, I just wasnt ovulating. What a relief!!! Before he prescribed it to me, he asked "are you ok with twins?", I said ABSOLUTELY!!! So Im waiting for my next period to start so that I can get this baby making business going and Im praying to God we get the bean to stick!!! So i was wondering, how many of you are on Clomid, how long have you been on Clomid, and has anyone gotten preg the first month taking it?

Im praying we all get the positive quickly!

God Bless

Good luck! I'm starting my first round of Clomid next cycle, unless we get that elusive BFP this month! So, I'm interested in what others have to say about their experiences with it. 10% chance of twins with Clomid if it works. Sooo yeah, I guess that's cool.

Good luck with the Clomid! I hope your doctor let you know about the possible side effects, as they can be unpleasnt

I just wanted to let you know that PCOS can't be ruled out just by a pelvic exam. You would really need blood tests and/or an ultrasound to do that.

Glad you spoke with your doctor. How did he rule out pcos? Good luck with the clomid! I haven't taken it before but I read that some women really benefit from it. Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK :FC:

I am currently talking Clomid. This is our 3rd round of 50mg Clomid. I've been told it is very unlikely to get pregnant the first time, but everything is possible! We did end up getting pregnant on the 2nd round of Clomid and everyone was super surprised it happened that quickly! It usually takes at least 3 cycles, so I've been told. Idk. But unfortunately, we lost it.
Good luck! The first round had the most symptoms for me; super sore breast for weeks, cramps, random shooting pain to an ovary and moodiness. It's all going to be worth it though when we all have our little ones!!

I had a friend who struggled to get pregnant with her first, got pregnant after one round of clomid and then didn't struggle to get pregnant (very quickly, I might add) with babies #2 and #3... so it is possible!
